Tiroteo en Utrecht, Holanda, deja varios muertos y heridos
(CNN) -- Al menos tres personas murieron y nueve más resultaron heridas luego de un tiroteo en un tranvía en la ciudad holandesa de Utrecht, confirmaron las autoridades.
Las autoridades holandesas están considerando "un posible motivo terrorista" para el tiroteo, que tuvo lugar en la Plaza 24 de octubre a las 10:45 a.m. (5:45 a.m ET) el lunes, dijo la policía de Utrecht en Twitter.
La policía holandesa identificó a un hombre en relación con el tiroteo.
En un tuit, los funcionarios dicen que están buscando a un hombre nacido en Turquía de 37 años llamado Gokman Tanis. El tuit, que está acompañado por una imagen de lo que parece ser una cámara de CCTV a bordo del tranvía, agrega: "No te acerques".
La foto publicada por la policía tiene un sello de tiempo a las 10:41, aproximadamente cuatro minutos antes de que se produjera el incidente en el tranvía.
"No podemos descartar motivos terroristas", escribió el coordinador nacional de Seguridad y Contraterrorismo de Holanda, PJ Aalbersberg. "El equipo de crisis está activado".
La policía no ha detenido a ningún sospechoso, según Joost Lanshage, portavoz de la Policía en el centro de Holanda. Dijo que el tiroteo ya había terminado, pero que la operación policial estaba en curso.
Tres helicópteros de rescate han sido enviados a la escena, que desde entonces ha sido acordonado, para "monitorear" la situación, dijo Lanshage.
El primer ministro Mark Rutte le dijo a RTL, afiliada de CNN, que estaba "muy preocupado" por el incidente.
El personal de emergencia y las ambulancias están en la escena.
